Old Man And The Sea
Heavens and earth in handshake
Horizon afar from seen
And the greens hold their tranquillity
With occasional wave and whisper
Death hook submerges from a long string
Hangs upon a long stick
The old man sits helplessly
With many nights of untiring endeavours
But the catch sense death
And move away from the hook death zone
Sea howls with promises
Putting the lives of its residents in danger
Like the slavemaster to the slaves
Colonial masters to their colonies
A war of deceits is fought on both sides
Then a cold war
Tears stream down the contoured face
Of an old skeletal man
Results of a promise unfulfilled
The old man and the sea.
